Does this phone home?
No. Cairn never sends data anywhere except the one authenticated fetch to claude.ai you triggered. The KnowledgeBank index lives on your disk. The license check is a JWT, validated locally.
Refunds?
Yes. Email x@blacktrace.co within 14 days. No questions.
What happens if Cairn dies?
Your encrypted index keeps working. The format is documented at /format, you can write your own reader in 30 lines.
Why not a free tier with a usage limit?
Because that would mean Cairn watches you. The export is free with no quotas, no telemetry. The paid unlock buys you the index, not the right to use Cairn.
Team or enterprise pricing?
Not in v1.0. Cairn is built for solo operators. If you want it for a team, email and we'll talk about v2.
